With more and more dog walkers entering the market, increasing media and governmental pressure, higher reports of dog theft and bite incidences - the need for professional, qualified and ethical dog walkers to stand out from the crowd has never been stronger.

Modern Dog Walking Association approached Upshot Media to help them design a website that had a modern feel, portrayed them as a professional body (as they are) and have an authoritative feel.

MDWA provide a professional Dog walking certification and member benefits including:

• Customer portal containing business tools and resources
• Annual continued professional development
• Updates and changes to regulations
• Legal document templates
• Discounts from partners

The website has a custom design, based on a series of design meetings to establish what is important alongside key messages that the business needs to portray.

In addition to front end aesthetics, the back-end admin functionality includes custom development to reduce admin, automate what was previously manual tasks and enhance both the admin and customer journey.

When customer books the course to receive certification they automatically receive an order confirmation email, following this there is then a sequence of emails that are sent, some which are subject to what the customer does or if they pass or fail an assessment.

Some automated parts include but not limited to:

• Order confirmation emails
• Course date reminder emails
• Emails to provide information on how to take their assessment
• Passed or failed assessment details and what to do next
• Sending of course attendance certificates
• Additional certificate which says “passed” on them
• Emails offering membership and showing the benefits of membership
• Sending of member certificates and badges which can be used on website
• Access to the member portal (for members)
• Annual membership renewal
• Adding member details to the “find a walker” directory

MDWA are in complete control over the content of any emails that are sent, even though they are automated to go out on specific dates and times.
