We don’t just Design, we develop
Upshot Media specialises in web design and development services. We  don’t use templates and all our designs are unique to each customer.  Our development services provide feature rich functionality within websites as well as the ability to help with marketing solutions and building Smart Phone Apps.

Our Design & Development Process
With our design and development process we can ensure that from start to finish you have visibility and every chance to review and provide feedback on the progress.

Step 1
After discussions about your business and any likes or dislikes, our design team will set about producing a unique design draft for your new website.  Once this is complete the draft design would be sent to you for feedback and discussions, at this stage we make any changes to the draft design based on the discussions.  Once the changes are made we send you the new version.
 
Step 2
Once step 1 is complete and you are happy with the design draft, we pass the design to our developer to piece together all the necessary parts and turn the design into a real working website and apply the design to our Content Management System (CMS).  We use all the latest techniques and ensure your website is W3C compliant and ready to be optimised for search engines. 
 
Step 3
Once the design has been turned into a working site we send you a link to our test server for final approval, after approval the website is made live to the public and access to your CMS is provided.
 
Our Pricing Structure
Using our own designed website platforms, we are able to streamline the set-up process on applying your designs to the platform in order to create the website. It also allows us to tweak the platform for additional features and functionality.  If something non-standard is required, it is our code written by us so our developers know it inside out.  This allows us to keep costs low whilst maintaining quality work, delivered on budget, on time.

Packages and Bespoke Development
Although we have introduced a number of website packages in 2012, with set prices, we can and still maintain that we build websites to meet the needs of our customers.  If that means mixing and matching features from different packages or building something from scratch, that is what we will do.  We have on many occasions modified our platform to provide our customers with something a little different, unique or specific in terms of that customers business plan and marketing activities.  Don’t be afraid to ask for something not within a package or directly advertised on our website.

Building Working Relationships
We pride ourselves on building relationships with our customers, we don’t just take your money, design a new website and then disappear, which unfortunately we have heard time and time again from our customers who have had websites built by other companies.  We don’t hassle you every day for more work but we do communicate and get to know our customers, their business, plans and where possible give our opinion and advice based on experience.

Technical speak and Jargon
We have a mix of customers, some who understand the jargon and we try to limit the technical speak with our customers and put things in plain simple English, making it easy to understand what we are doing and why. There may be times when we mention or abbreviate things like PHP, CMS, DNS, Domains or DNS Records, when we use this language, we will when required explain what it means.
